Total cost £45.00 each girl, including return coach from BSG, entry to the park and unlimited access to all rides and shows. Lunch is not included, please bring a packed lunch or arrange means of payment to buy food and drink (Thorpe Park is mostly CASHLESS).
For girls holding a valid Merlin Pass, the cost will be £20.00 ( see Merlin Pass Holder Ticket). A copy of your Merlin Pass must be emailed to: psa@bsg.bournemouth.sch.uk
Coaches will leave BSG, East Way, at 8am, returning approx. 7pm to East Way in front of the Car Park/ Tennis Court area.
Please ensure girls have enough mobile phone battery life left on their phone, so that they can ring their lift in case of delays. Please use the Car Park in the school grounds at the Main Entrance or alternatively park nearby and walk along to East Way and meet the girls in the tennis court area please. Girls will be directed off their coach and into the tennis court area for their safety.
Should we not have enough spaces, places will be allocated on a lottery basis; each name will be drawn from a hat. A full cash refund will be issued to the girls who are not drawn. Refunds will not be made for any other reason. The PSA cannot gain refunds from Thorpe Park for the tickets or from the coach company in the event of illness on the day (including Covid-19). Please make sure girls are free for the whole day before you commit to making an application, individual travel arrangements cannot be made.
To assist us with the mammoth logistical task of coach allocation, generally class forms are allocated to coaches. Should you have a specific request then please put this on the application form for it to be considered. This cannot be guaranteed and cannot be changed once issued. Girls will be free to meet up in the park on arrival. Each girl attending the trip will receive a letter confirming the precise details of the day.
The trip also depends on us finding enough Parent/Guardian volunteers to accompany the girls on the coaches and to help supervise in the park. The cost of the helpers’ tickets and coach fares will be met by the PSA and there will be plenty of time for the helpers to enjoy the day. If you would like to volunteer to help on the trip, then please state this in the final section of the application form. Volunteering does not guarantee any girls a place on the trip although it may be taken into consideration.
Access to this trip is part of the school’s reward scheme. Note, therefore, that eligibility to attend may be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of Mr Sims should a pupil’s conduct fail to meet the school’s high expectations. Access is considered a privilege by the senior teaching team; the school and PSA ask for parents to support this. Finally, please note all girls are expected to behave in a responsible manner, in accordance with normal school rules, for the duration of the trip.
