Event Details

The Event

This event is organised by the BSG PSA in collaboration with staff from Bournemouth School for Girls and Bournemouth School.

This year’s Prom will take place at: The Dorchester Suite at The Bournemouth Marriott Hotel on Thursday 2nd July 2026.

The dress code is formal, students should wear dresses, dinner suits, or a formal jacket with trousers.

Doors open at 7pm. No entry will be permitted after 8pm.

The Prom will finish at 11pm. Parents should ensure arrangements are in place for students to be collected by a responsible adult. Re-entry into the event will not be allowed if a student leaves the event early.

There will be a card and cash bar to purchase soft drinks.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £39 – to include a mocktail on arrival, buffet, disco with DJ and a photo booth. We anticipate inviting the Echo to capture traditional prom photographs.

Tickets can be purchased here until Thursday 21st May. In previous years, late requests have not been possible to accomodate, so we strongly encourage early purchase to avoid disappointment.

Note: Tickets are not transferrable. If you encounter an issue with a ticket, please contact the PSA here - psa@bsg.bournemouth.sch.uk

Attendance and Supervision

Attendance at the school prom is part of the school's rewards scheme. The Headteachers (Dr Lewis and Mr Sims) reserve the right to withdraw a student's invitation if their conduct falls below expectations. If a ticket is withdrawn within four weeks of the event, a refund may not be issued.

All students must behave impeccably before, during and after the event. They are expected to follow instructions from school staff, security personnel, and PSA members in attendance.

Admission on the evening will be controlled by the schools’ senior staff: any pupil suspected to be under the influence of, or in possession of, drugs and/or alcohol and/or cigarettes and/or vapes will be refused entry or removed from the event, with no refund given.

Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside or outside the venue. Any students failing to follow these rules will have their parents contacted to collect them immediately.

In the event your child should require first aid or further medical intervention and your child is unable to expressly give their permission and/or we fail to reach their emergency contact, by purchasing a ticket you give implied consent for us to take whatever measures are required for the wellbeing of your child.

Leaving the event

We strongly advise that all students are collected by a responsible adult at the end of the evening.

When purchasing a ticket, you must indicate whether your child is allowed to leave the event unaccompanied.

If you do not permit your child to leave alone, they will only be released to an adult, and we may contact you to confirm this.

If you permit your child to leave unaccompanied, they may do so at their own discretion. Once a student leaves the venue, responsibility for their safety transfers to parents/carers.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our Year 11 students and hope the evening will be a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
