This event is organised by the BSG PSA in collaboration with staff from BSG and Bournemouth School.
This year’s Prom will be held in The Dorchester Suite at The Bournemouth Marriott Hotel on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
The dress code is formal, students should wear dresses, dinner suits, or a formal jacket with trousers.
Entry will be from 7pm.
Please note there will be no admission after 8pm. The Prom finishes at 11pm and we expect parents to have arrangements in place for students to be collected from the event by a responsible adult. Re-entry into the event will not be permitted if a student leaves the event early.
There will be a card and cash bar to purchase soft drinks.
Tickets are priced at £38 – to include a mocktail on arrival, buffet, disco with DJ and a photo booth. We anticipate inviting the Echo to take the traditional prom photographs.
Tickets can be purchased here until Friday 30th May. The venue requires us to finalise guest numbers four weeks in advance, so please ensure tickets are purchased in time. We will likely be unable to accommodate late applications, so please purchase tickets promptly to avoid disappointment.
Students will not be allowed to enter without a proof of ticket purchase.
Note: Tickets are not transferrable. If you have an issue with a ticket, please contact the PSA here - psa@bsg.bournemouth.sch.uk
Attendance at the school prom is part of the school's rewards scheme. Eligibility to attend may be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of Dr Lewis/Mr Sims should a pupil's conduct fail to meet the high expectations of the schools. If a ticket is withdrawn within four weeks of the event, a refund is unlikely.
All pupils are expected to behave impeccably before, during and after the event. They are expected to take direction from school staff, employed security staff and any PSA members in attendance, and to follow any instructions or guidance given. Admission on the evening will be controlled by the schools’ senior staff: any pupil suspected to be under the influence of, or in possession of, drugs and/or alcohol and/or cigarettes and/or vapes at any time during the evening will be barred from the event and no refund will be given. Smoking and vaping is prohibited in and outside the venue. Should students fail to adhere to these conditions, parents will be contacted to collect their child from the event.
In the event your child should require first aid or further medical intervention and your child is unable to expressly give their permission and/or we fail to reach their emergency contact, by purchasing a ticket you give implied consent for us to take whatever measures are required for the wellbeing of your child.
We advise that every child is collected from the event by a responsible adult.
When purchasing a ticket, if you state that you will NOT allow your child to leave the event unaccompanied, and your child wishes to leave, we will only allow them to do so if they are collected by an adult. In these circumstances, we may contact you by phone. If you state that you will allow your child to leave unaccompanied, your child will be allowed to leave the event at any time, and we will NOT contact you for permission for them to do so.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our Year 11 students and hope the evening will be a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
